I am an Economist specialized in Applied Micro. My most satisfying professional experience so far is to bring students to a research conference, which is the culmination of teaching and research.

Hobby

I nerd out on Coffee, soccer, and Pokemon Go. Kinda picked these up in the pandemic and they stick, probably to an unhealthy degree.

Oh, and I sketch too.

Personality

I am fluent in English and native in Vietnamese, but my most effective language is sarcasm. I bring some of that to classes too.

I hang best with people who appreciate some loose and fun environment

Entrepreneurship

I co-founded a business to help students through college application and provide AP & IELTS courses. This is not to be distracted from the primary duty of teaching and research, but to leave a mark on humanity. Money is secondary, although I wouldn't mind making a dime off of these.

I am an Applied Microeconomist. My research interests include Urban and Transportation Economics, with empirical applications of choice models usually employed in Applied Industrial Organization. Recently, I've picked up some interest in Environment and Education Economics. You can read more about my research here.

My teaching interests include everything Micro or Applied Micro. My favorites so far are Urban Econ, Health Econ, and Applied Econometrics, for their rigor and applicability. I try to keep all of my classes fun, intriguing, and hands on whenever possible. Find out more about my teaching here.
